Filipino Bloggers Worldwide 2012 Event - A Big Success!

Our Filipino Bloggers Worldwide (FBW) event last tonight was a big success! Despite the time constraints, I still couldn't have dreamt of a better outcome! Here's a big shout to Mr. & Mrs. Orly Ballesteros of Ex-Link Events for sponsoring the venue, food, stage, time, team and everything else in between! Their generosity truly surpasses our wildest expectations!

I would also like to thank Ex-Link Events for inviting me to partake in their prior program -- the 4th Outstanding OFW/Balikbayan Reputation Award (OBRA).

I felt honored being amongst the families of such hardworking Overseas Filipino Workers. Their blood, sweat and "sipon" as what a Filipina OFW blogger shared via a pre-taped video was truly inspiring. She was OBRA's Outstanding Filipino Blogger that night, Ms. Eulalia Frances L. Jayme. She was represented by her lovely daughter during the event since Ms. Jayme was still based in Saudi Arabia.

And of course, I will never forget all of our bighearted sponsors!

The admins and I would also like to thank the following establishments for providing more raffle prizes for our members: De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC), Bawal Mag Shoot Dito (BMSD), Diana Stalder and SMART.

Up to know, I can still feel my heart being constantly filled with love and excitement. Despite those minor mishaps along the way, the event was still a grand success. All of the members who attended didn't go empty handed. Food and drinks were pouring, as well as merriment and laughter. The feeling was overwhelmingly good.

It was my very first time to help organize such a big event. So I really want to thank Ms. Tess Chancellor again for believing in me, and for believing on our team of Admins: Ness, Sumi and Franc. Our event wouldn't have been made possible if not for our event heroes as well. They have taken the time out of their busy lives just to help us create an enjoyable experience. Thank you Michelle Banayo, Ericleen Jucal, Tristan Khalil, Joey MJ, Anna Monique, Karen Tuazon, Lariza Garcia, Rence Chan, Mark Morfe, Mac Vasquez and Myk Rome. A special shout out goes to Jevelme Frago for being our impromptu volunteer last night and for Jason Cruz for being our Speaker!

Thank you friends for all the help and support. Let's do this again next year! :)

  1. Happy to work with you and the rest of the admins during this event Mai. I had so much fun hosting the event. Just sharing a quote from the Art of War "No plan ever survives first contact with the enemy." Most part of the program didn't go in sequence as planned but we were flexible enough to adjust and still turned out to be a success.
