Red Planet Hotels - Aseana: An Ideal hotel near DFA and NAIA Terminals
I decided to check-in at Red Planet Aseana so that I can get to my Passport renewal appointment on time. Although it was a bit pricey compared to its other branches, staying at this hotel definitely saved me a few hours worth of commute time from QC to Aseana, and a lot more snooze time.
RED PLANET'S STANDARD DOUBLE ROOM
I booked a Double Room around September of last year, which cost me P2,041 for one night. With an all-inclusive rate, my cozy abode had the following amenities:
- Double Bed
- A/C unit and ceiling fan
- Electronic Key Card Door Lock
- Workstation (foldable)
- High-speed Wi-Fi
- 32-inch Flat screen TV
- In-room electronic safe
- En-suite bathroom with H&C shower
- Towels
- Soap and Shampoo dispenser
- Hair Dryer
I had but one comment during my stay, and that was the hallway noise from some guests who were checked-in the same time as me. I actually woke up in the middle of the night to loud chatters and laughs. Good thing I was dead tired, so I was able to go right back to sleep. Hopefully, Red Planet would be able to implement a rule for guests to practice hotel etiquette, and to be more considerate of others, especially during night-time.
FOOD CHOICES WITHIN THE AREA
The hotel is literally a few minutes walk from DFA Aseana (2 minutes if you walk fast), and a cab ride away from the Mall of Asia complex. Breakfast options aren't a problem too (not provided by the hotel), as plenty of food choices are located nearby like Jollibee and Family Mart. But if you have time to spare, McDonald's and Yellow Cab Pizza can also be found right across DFA.

HOW TO REACH RED PLANET, ASEANA
As a commuter, it wasn't hard to reach the hotel. I just took a jeep headed to Aseana (P10) from the EDSA MRT Taft station, and was dropped right in front of DFA Aseana. Traveling back to Quezon City was also just as convenient. I only rode a jeep that plied the street where the hotel was, which passed the Baclaran route. From there, I took a bus that was bound for Monumento.
Even before they rebranded to Red Planet Hotel (formerly Tune Hotel), the hotel chain has already been a go-to budget accommodation for me and my husband. Not only do they provide an affordable luxury, the establishment has also provided a good customer experience.
