I used to master the art of packing lately but lately since I am also rushing to pack my stuff I just bring extra clothes just in case I miss on something.

Hmmm. I really do pack light when I travel but only when I travel with family members because with them I'm not embarrassed to  have only one pair of pants that I recycle over and over again :D

This would be great for frequent travelers. Yet, its hard for me to do this as I do always carry my DSLR which is almost as heavy as my baby. :D

Some psychology there - the bigger the bag, the bigger the chance of being tempted to pack more.

I travel light and just buy some other stuff to the place we are going .The problem is coming back home .I ended up travelling hubby and over baggage, lol.

Guilty! I am an overpacker (if there's such a word). I don't know if i'm just paranoid or what. Thanks for sharing this video.

I think packing lightly and smartly is one of the first things a traveler needs to learn. It will keep a traveler footloose.

Thanks for sharing this. I honestly dont know how to pack light. My bag is always full. Overnight or 1 day is not even in my vocabulary. Overnight means at least 3days to me. Haha!

Not a bad idea too, Franc. I mean, I don't think that could be considered as overpacking na. :)

Mai_Flores said...

Hehehe.. yes Gemma, rolling our clothing pieces really helps save space. I've been doing it for years, and it always surprises how much space is left for me to use. :) And wow, 5-day trip!!! Have fun! :)

Mai_Flores said...

Good for you both, Rizza! :)

Mai_Flores said...

Oh, don't be too embarrassed Grace! I also do that --- recycling my bottoms (2 times tops!) hehehe!

Mai_Flores said...

Hey April! Hope you didn't overpack..hehe! :)

Mai_Flores said...

True -- we should definitely pack all our essentials. And yes, this video was super helpful. :)

Mai_Flores said...

Good strategy too! I usually pack enough clothes, and then just buy tops along the way when the need arises. :)

Mai_Flores said...

Awww.. your baby is now as heavy as your DSLR? What's your camera po ba? :)

Mai_Flores said...

You are right about that too.. but it also takes some form of discipline. I bring a backpack with me whenever I travel. But I make sure to leave some space too, especially for souvenirs that I may want to buy along the way.

Mai_Flores said...

Hahaha.. thank God I haven't experienced that yet! :P Would want to pay extra for my excess baggage. :D

Mai_Flores said...

Glad this video helped, docbien! :)

Mai_Flores said...

Hehehe.. try this sometime, Lily! :)

Mai_Flores said...

You're welcome, Ashish! Let's thank Travel Magazine for these handy tips too! :)

Mai_Flores said...

Hehehe.. try it sometime Tricia! :)

I used to be an overpacker too and it would always break my back! Hahaha.. you should try to minimize the load inside your luggage/bag if you can. It would also help to plot out your outfit for each day of your travel. :)

Mai_Flores said...

True indeed! :)

Mai_Flores said...

Really? hehehe.. how was your trip?

Mai_Flores said...

hahaha! Grabe sis, really? Well, I used to be in your shoes. Until I learned how to pack the right amount of clothes and essentials -- ok naman yung result. :)
