#TravelThrowback: Experience Affordable Luxury at Tune Hotel, Ortigas
Ever since our stay at Tune Hotel, Downtown Kuala Lumpur, Rubel and I talked about staying in one of their Philippine-based hotels. And given that they have plenty in and out of Manila, we decided to try one of their nearby branches, and booked 2-nights in their Ortigas branch (summer of 2014).
It wasn't hard to locate their Ortigas hotel, as it was just a 10-minute walk from EDSA, corner Shaw Boulevard. The hotel is also along the path of Shangri-la Plaza Mall, the MRT (Shaw Boulevard Station) and St. Francis Shopping Mall. It's a short walk from Greenfield's District as well.
Rubel and I were celebrating a milestone in our lives, so we decided to do a staycation in Tune Hotel, Ortigas. We booked a Double Room, which cost us P2,730.12 for two nights.
Our standard double room consisted of:
- One Double Bed
- En-suite bathroom with high pressured hot water showers
- A/C unit and Ceiling Fan
- Electronic Key Card Door Locks
- 3 power socket on the wall (3pin, 220-240V, 13A, 50/60Hz)
- 1 in-room electronic safe
We also opted to purchase add-ons during our stay such as access to their WiFi, Cable TV, a/c, towel and toiletries.
As always, we had a relaxing stay. But our staycation was all the more fun because of their on-site photobooth. Rubel and I (me, mostly) took so many pictures, which we instantly sent straight to my email.
Tune Hotel has definitely become a hotel favorite. Not only do they provide an affordable luxury, it's a hotel chain that also provides great value to its customers. So we're sure to book them on our next getaway.
