Day 5 in Malaysia (KL): A great end to a 6-day journey!

Rubel had to travel back home for a wedding. So I was left alone in the hotel, and in Kuala Lumpur for another 24 hours. But that didn't stop me from wandering around the city on my own. It was actually nice of my friends to invite me again for some girl bonding. So we went around the city's hip and happening shopping centers that morning.

A GOOD START TO A GREAT MORNING

After having breakfast at San Francisco Coffee at Tune Hotel, Downtown KL (the breakfast set was at 28RM for 2 pax), Rubel did a quick fix and left for the airport immediately. I, on the other hand, prepared for my lunch date with Krissy and MJ. They picked me up at the hotel, and then we all walked towards the Medan Tuanku Monorail Station --- Berjaya-bound. The train travel from Medan Tuanku to Imbi Station (where Berjaya Times Square and Plaza Berjaya are located) was a quick one.

SHOPS GALORE AT BERJAYA TIMES SQUARE

I've already been to Berjaya Times Square with the same clique. But we weren't able to go around to see all of the shops the first time. So our first order of business upon arriving at the mall was to go around Berjaya. We eventually grew tired after so many hours of walking, especially after exploring all 9 floors of the building.

When the 3 of us finally got tired, both ladies treated me to lunch and dessert at McDonalds. We bonded over love and life, and had a few good laughs. Soon after that, we went back to the Imbi station to head towards Bukit Bintang (via monorail again). We literally just went mall hopping.

DINNER AT JALAN ALOR

Before heading to MJ's place, we stopped over at Jalan Alor to get some dinner. Here, we met up with Joey, Krissy's husband. We all ate at the hawker area by Jalan Alor, and was only able to spend 10 RM per person. We ordered several platters of local cuisine for sharing, which filled our tummies in an instant.

OVERLOOKING THE PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS FROM MJ'S PLACE

We took a cab to MJ's place right after dinner. We actually grew excited when we finally reached her place, which was near the Petronas Twin Towers and Suria KLCC. The view of the towers from her balcony was just mesmerizing! But what was even more amazing was the time we all spent talking, while watching a movie and drinking MJ's experimental white wine. It was just the perfect nightcap for my last night in Kuala Lumpur.

Riz... We missed you in this photo!

MJ was kind enough to drop me at Tunes so that I wouldn't have to commute on my own. But that made me all the more sad, as it would be the last time that I would see her and the gang. But I promised them that I would come back and see them soon.

All in all, my vacation in Malaysia was an amazing one. I got to see a lot of culture-rich attractions, and was able to spend a lot of time with Rubel --- more so bond with old and new friends. These are simply the reasons why I love traveling.
