Tee & Putt: A cosmic glow-in-the-dark mini-golf course in Dubai

I recently downloaded this mobile application called Surkus, which is a discovery app that gives you access to attend events and to try products and services in the UAE for free or for a discount, in exchange for a review or post on social media (i.e. Instagram, Facebook, Google). To my surprise, a glow-in-the-dark mini-golf course activity was posted for users to try. So I applied and was luckily accepted.

Located at the first level of Wafi Mall is a small course called Tee & Putt Mini Golf. Just go past the food court, and you will find access to the establishment through a pair of escalators. It’s more or less, a 10-minute walk from the Dubai Healthcare City metro station.

Even as a first-timer, I still came to the venue with no expectations. I’ve never golfed in my life. I just said to myself, “this should be easy. It’s just a mini-golf course anyway.” But I thought wrong!

Sure, there were a few even-leveled paths, one that would take an easy putt or two (or six, in my case) to get the golf ball in. But there were several difficult swings too. One even took me nine strokes before I could finally sink the ball. It was challenging, especially with the more complicated tracks. In spite of this, it was still a lot of fun. It was a de-stressing outlet worth coming back to again.

For 65 AED per pax (60 AED each if you’re a group of three), we were able to enjoy an 18-hole glow-in-the-dark mini-golf course. It had a vibrantly-decorated space theme, complete with astronauts and aliens, which displayed an out-of-this-world experience. It’s a unique destination in Dubai that’s perfect for kids and the kids-at-heart. A definite must-try while in the city.
