Wine and dine in class at Ravioli & Co.
The only time that I get to explore the posh establishments in Dubai is when my friend MJ makes an invite. We were able to go on several food trips in the DIFC area (before the citywide lockdown) and was able to try the Ravioli & Gnocchi masterclass at Ravioli & Co.
The 1-hour masterclass was an engaging activity. All six participants (including me and MJ, who took most of our photos), who all met for the first time, shared one table. The Filipino chef, who was also our teacher, made sure that our class was light yet fun all at the same time. His instructions were easy to follow, so in no time, we soon found ourselves rolling and molding our very own Italian pasta variations. Not only did we learn how to make Ravioli and Gnocchi from scratch, but we also got to eat what we made.
For the price of 165 AED per pax, we learned, created, and ate (the outcome) from this experience. The ingredients were fresh and of top-grade, and the tools we used for our preparations (e.g., aprons, hats, disposable gloves) were all made available for us. The entire experience was enjoyable and memorable. We also had fun socializing with our classmates, while sipping red wine and strawberry mocktails.
The masterclass package included savory snack bites, a small pizza (good for two), and our palatable creations. We prepared the Ravioli and Gnocchi, while the chefs cooked and seasoned these into delectable dishes. We got to sample what we made, but we didn't get to finish everything. So we decided to take-home portions of it so that our husbands could also taste our pasta creations.
The package also included two house drinks (per pax). I wasn’t in the mood to drink alcohol, so I opted for their strawberry mocktails. One of our classmates recommended it, and it did not disappoint. It was so delicious!
The restaurant had this evening glow that exuded warmth to it. The relaxed ambiance of the space was so inviting that it made me want to just sit back and unwind. I didn't want to leave! Dining at Ravioli & Co. was simply exquisite, for my taste at least.
I will come back and dine at Ravioli & Co. as I had the best experience with them. The food was great, the venue was homey and intimate, and the staff was welcoming. They deserve two thumbs up from me!
