The first thing that we asked from our host in Saud (Ms. Cathy) was where to eat for dinner, and she immediately suggested to dine at Evangeline Beach Resort's -- Emohruo Beach Restobar. Although she warned us about the price, she still recommended that we try their food just for the experience of it. Good thing that we listened to her!
And as posted from their website: the excellent chefs of Emohruo Beach Restobar serve a unique blend of innovative Asian cuisine that they themselves have created. The menu boasts of a variety of offerings ranging from creative seafood fares to spicy Thai curry sauces, all made from the freshest ingredients and herbs freshly-picked from the resort’s very own organic garden. Apart from the magnificent food choices, we also have a selection of wines for our guests and their discriminating palates.
Since we couldn't get enough of the Bagnet from Vigan, we ordered Pagudpud's version of it -- the Mango Orange Bagnet. A plate of this was served with crispy fried lechon kawali that was stewed with fruity mango orange sauce.
The verdict? Well, the meat was a bit hard to chew on, which made swallowing hard on our end. The chunks were big, so these definitely scraped a little in our throats. The fruit slices however, made up for the 'bagnet' that we ate, as these sweet treats actually helped tone down the taste of the meat.

We also ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad since the description got me very hungry. A plate of this salad consisted of spicy fried boneless chicken, topped with tomatoes, cucumber, onion rings, carrots, egg and ranch dressing.

The Buffalo Chicken Salad was one of the highlights of our dinner at Evangeline's. We loved the flavor of the boneless chicken, especially when we dipped it with the vegetables in the ranch dressing.
We also came back to eat at Emohrou's the next night. And as it became my favorite, we ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad again. We also tried their Club Quesadilla.
Emohruo's Club Quesadilla had a very different version of this mexican delicacy. The tortilla was stuffed with mayonaise salsa, ham, chicken, cheese and bacon. Yes, bacon. Every bite tasted funny with the bacon inside the tortilla. So we really didn't get to finish everything on the plate.

Anyway, we also didn't let our days go by without ordering dessert from the Saud restaurant. We just had to indulge on Emohruo's Mango Crepe, as it was super delish! :) Their crepes certainly had generous servings of ice cream, mango chunks and chocolate syrup.

I could probably rate Emohruo 4 out of 5 stars, mainly for their Buffalo Chicken Salad and Mango Crepe. So I'll surely pay them a visit once I'm back in Pagudpud again. :) Moreover, I highly recommend that you eat there once you visit Saud Beach. Not only will you be given a variety of food choices, you'll also get the opportunity to dine with a view of the beach. What more can you ask for? :)
