Food + Travel: A Gold-Struck deal at Midas Hotel

I've become the queen of coupon purchases!

My love affair with all the good deals online made me buy some of the most essential and not-so important goods and services. But these hard to pass up offers also lead me into experiencing one of the best dishes in the metro. Other than my Prestige Cruises encounter, I've also managed to buy an All-You-Can-Eat-Sausage promo from eBay Kuponan. I also got the opportunity to buy a few Midas Buffet vouchers from Metrodeal.com on two separate occasions.

For now, let me start by sharing to you my food affair with Midas Hotel's buffet dinner.

I've been to Midas Hotel twice now. One was in December 2011, and another last February 2012. And compared to what Prestige Cruises offered from their deal, Midas completely came through with their own advertisement. They truly promoted how good a catch their offer was. They were the real deal indeed.

Anyway, here's a peek at what they offered through Metrodeal in 2012:

Everything that Midas offered, we were able to get and more. We were welcomed into the restaurant and was escorted to our table without having to feel that we just bought discounted vouchers. But what was more remarkable was that for a price of P899 (originally P1930), we got to sample some of the best Asian and European viands. Drinks were unlimited too. Now, I usually don't go for buffets but this was an exception!

Anyway, here are a few snapshots of the tasty dishes that we were able to get our hands and mouths on.. so enjoy!

Different Maki Versions (Not sure if the other pieces were sashimi slices)
The Salad Area
Other Japanese/Chinese Viands
The Bread Connection!!! Didn't get to sample these anymore as we were saving more space for our tummies.
Bite-size Desserts. =)
Dessert area yet again..
A plate of salad-goodness -- with slices of beef and a bowl of egg custard on the side!
Here's the chocolate fountain and a few fruit selections. =)
I got the pink glass that had a slice of strawberry on top of the custard.. its sweet-filling was super yummy!
My Anniversary Dessert Treat! =)
I went for seconds and got this chocolate-filled glass with actual chocolate bits
on top, a piece of chocolate-dipped fruit & sapin-sapin.

All in all, our buffet dinner experience was well-worth the money and the long commute (braved Quezon Avenue and Roxas Boulevard despite the rush hour). After having dinner at Midas Hotel, I promised myself that I would go back. And so I did after two months! =P

  33. It maybe expensive when compared to the likes and price ranges of Yakimix or Sambokojin. But I assure you, their selection of food were very tasty. The service was great and the staff were exceptionally nice and efficient too, which was a plus for me all together. :)
