The Coffee Museum: A coffee-lovers haven in Dubai
If you're a coffee-lover like me, then you will love the Coffee Museum in Dubai. You'll know it's nearby when the aroma of roasted coffee beans touches your nose. It's a place in the emirate that showcases the connections between the past and the present coffee world (Arabic style, Ethiopian, Japanese, etc.).
As you go around, you will find a variety of roasting and brewing styles from different countries all over the world. There are also live demonstrations that will show you how the coffee beans are prepared from seed-to-cup.
Antiques from all over the world can also be seen displayed in the two-story gallery, as well as other coffee-related items that you can purchase as souvenirs.
You can also visit the coffee shop on the second floor. Here, you can chill and bask-in the java aroma. Of course, always complete your experience by ordering a cup of joe.
You should also try their coffee-flavored ice popsicles (sold at the gallery store downstairs). They’re one of the best that I’ve tasted in Dubai.
The Coffee Museum is located in one of Dubai's oldest heritage sites (Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, Bur Dubai). It's open daily (except for Friday) from 9 to 5 PM. Admission is free.
