Experience Manila's old-world aesthetic at Amélie Hotel

Amélie Hotel Manila, which is named after the owner's granddaughter, is an Art Deco inspired 70-room boutique hotel. Located in the old-world neighbourhood of Malate (a short walk away from Robinson's Place Manila, a major shopping mall in Manila), the attractive establishment is surrounded by landmarks that are both rich in history and culture (i.e. Intramuros, Luneta, Rizal Park).

The overall design of the hotel reflects 'the old-world aesthetic of Manila'. And the boutique lodging's motif is also exuded in a contemporary yet minimalist style, which is evident in its elegant furniture, art deco inspired accents, and framed photos of Manila’s culture.

You definitely won't miss the oversized maps of Metro Manila (a decorative element that can also be used as a handy guide when exploring Manila), which can be seen in several areas of the hotel, particularly in the rooms.

AESTHETICALLY PLEASING ROOMS

Guests will love Amélie Hotel even more because of its Deluxe and Executive Rooms, which are all tastefully designed and well-appointed (furnished with comfy beds, warm lighting, classy red and black painted walls). The aesthetically pleasing space also displays an interesting design motif where each sleeping chamber is designed with a 'stylized, linear canopy', which helps set the bed apart, while providing the room with more depth and dimension.

Our fully airconditioned Deluxe 2 room was furnished witt two queen-size beds, a cable-ready flat screen LED TV, a mini fridge, a small coffee station, an electronic safe, a bedside clock, and a writing desk. Complimentary toiletries and towels were also provided in our private toilet & bath (with hot & cold shower), complete with a hair dryer. A secure Wi-Fi access is also available for checked-in guests.

ENJOY THE HOTEL'S CLASSY AMENITIES

Amélie Hotel Manila has a beautiful roof deck that offers a stunning view of Manila's skyline (overlooking Manila Bay). It also comprises of a 4-feet deep pool, gym, function room and veranda, which can accommodate around 130 people. Moreover, Amélie has a computer kiosk by the lobby that guests can use for free.

BRASKA RESTAURANT

Another impressive area of the hotel is the restaurant, as its official food and beverage provider is Braska. The restaurant and bar, which serves Filipino dishes, is open from 6:30 AM until 12 midnight. The classy eatery, which is located on the ground floor of the building, is open seven days a week. [A full review of Braska will be posted soon].

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL VIA COMMUTE

Commuters can easily reach the hotel via LRT 1. Just alight at Pedro Gil station, as Amélie Hotel is just a short 7-minute walk from the train, or a 2-minute walk from Robinson's Place Manila.

If you feel like doing a staycation in Manila or just looking for a place to stay-in after a hard day's work, then Amélie Hotel should definitely top your list of lodgings to consider when you're in the metro.
