Casa Pura Inn & Suites: An affordable option for your wedding preps in Quezon City
Booking two rooms for our May wedding a year ago was a last minute decision, as we were already set to do our preps at our house in Quezon City. But since the weather back then was very hot and humid, my husband and I both agreed that checking into a better accommodation would be more favorable for us (no melting make-up and sweat-soaked clothing). The price and location were major factors to consider, both of which were easily accommodated by Casa Pura Inn & Suites.
I initially suggested to do our preps at home to save on costs because we didn't want to spend on an expensive accommodation, where we'd be staying for just a few hours. But as soon as we changed our minds, we immediately emailed all of the hotels that were near our wedding venue. Out of the many inquiries that we made, and a few emails later, we reserved two rooms at Casa Pura Inn & Suites. We booked this particular accommodation because they also had good ratings at TripAdvisor.
STANDARD ROOM
The room that was provided to me was good for two guests. But my glam team and I still managed to occupy the space without feeling like sardines in a can. Despite the many moving bodies in the room, the A/C did not fail us. It blasted cool air all throughout our stay.
I also loved that the bed was comfy, as I got to sleep on it before I had my hair and make-up done. My husband and I also got to use my room for a few hours after coming from our party, while his parents occupied the other one (where my husband did his preps).
NO ADDITIONAL WEDDING CHARGES!
The best thing about booking Casa Pura was that they were flexible and easy to deal with. Unlike other hotels in QC, they didn't charge us extra for the wedding suppliers that we came with, just as long as we provided their names. My coordinator, the hair and make-up team, as well as the photographers, got to use the electricity in the room, and we weren't charged extra for the usage. We were even allowed to use any part of the property for picture taking, free of charge.
OTHER ROOM AMENITIES
I also loved the fact that my room had a very spacious, floor-to-ceiling cabinet. With it, we were able to store a lot of our stuff and clothes, and still had so much space to spare.
The hazardous step can be seen behind the couch. |
NOTE: As you enter the room, you will find this long hazardous step, which seemed like 2-3 inches high. It was completely displeasing to the eye. I'm glad that my suppliers, and my in-laws didn't trip from it, unlike what happened to me soon as I entered the room. So should you book Casa Pura, make sure to enter with caution.
Aside from that, the inn also provided a desk, refrigerator, and a flat-screen Cable TV. The reception was hazy, but the sound from the television was audible.
LOCATION
Casa Pura Inn & Suites was just a 10-minute drive from our wedding venue (Philam Homes Clubhouse). It was also located near several convenient stores, fastfood chains and a church, so we were all set in terms of location.
3.5 OUT OF 5 STARS
There were a few downsides to our stay, thus the 3.5 rating, as we experienced a weak water flow from the shower (mind you, we were just on the second floor). It took me longer to wash off given the scarce supply. But at least the entire bathroom was clean. It even came with a complete set of towels and toiletries, which made up for everything else that it lacked.
We would've also preferred being greeted by the receptionists on-duty (May 28, 2016) with at least a smile on their faces. They welcomed us as if they had no more energy left to spare. Mind you, it was still early in the morning when I checked in.
Also, breakfast was just all right. There weren't many choices any way. My senior-citizen in-laws weren't satisfied with what they ate. But at least they were pleased with their hot and cold beverages.
All in all, our stay at Casa Pura Inn & Suites was a good one. It wasn't a perfect stay. But I'm sure it would be a different experience should we book them for a different event. I'm just glad that they helped us get through our wedding preparations without any major inconveniences.
