A side trip to Club Malarayat
[February 2008] I went on a short road trip to Batangas with my family on a February morning. We were bound for Club Malarayat, Batangas to visit my sister Ina, who was at her 3G Basketball Camp. Both of my sisters are basketball players (they used to play for the National team). But there was also a time when I played as the Captain Ball of my high school and college team. But gone are the days when I could still drive the ball, and defend opponents like a pro. Good old memories. Anyway, while the 3G team was warming up, my family and I went around Club Malarayat to explore more of the beautiful place.

After playing tourist, my family and I went out for some famous Batangas Bulalo. The nearest one that we could find was a restaurant in Robinson's Mall. The place was just a few minutes away from the private resort club, so we're able to travel there fast. Anyway, we capped the night off by bidding our sister adieu. We left that night with a full stomach and a very rejuvenated soul. That particular road trip was certainly a breather.
How about you? Have you been to Club Marayat yet? How was your experience there?
Enjoy & Be Free!

I've been to Malarayat a few years back when hubby's frat sponsored a golf tournament. This place is really beautiful, the views are amazing. The gold course is amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou should sis! =) Love your vietnam post by the way. =)
ReplyDeleteHello Blanca! Really? You should visit the place. Hopefully they allow visitors, and not just their members. =)
ReplyDeleteHey Chris A.! Yes, this was a 2008 trip but was only posted on 2011 (had to transfer my previous WP posts to blogger, thus the date difference). And as for your other, question.. I haven't. I've only been here once, since my sister was invited to play basketball here.
ReplyDeleteThanks sis Airra! Which sister, ba ako lang yun? hehehe.
ReplyDeleteClub Malarayat seems to be a nice place. I've been to Batangas but never been there to club Malarayat. Hope to go there some time when we visit Batangas.
ReplyDeleteYou should! =) We had a refreshing visit here back then. =)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good place to relax!
ReplyDeleteWow, you play basketball? I used to play when I was in high school and at times, when I was already working. I stopped since most of the time I have cramps because of too much running while playing basketball. Funny, how I'm now into running and running long distance given that I easily get cramps. I'm sure I'm gonna enjoy this place as it has so many outdoor activities available.
ReplyDeleteits a nice place. Great for team building activities
ReplyDeleteGreat view from where you are.. and an even greater smiles for all of you!
ReplyDeleteNice photos! I miss bulalo!hehehe...
ReplyDeleteEating sumptuous bulalo is the perfect way to cap a day of rest-and-recreation at Club Malarayat.
ReplyDeleteAwww, I love your group pictures, looks like a great fun has been had! :)
ReplyDeleteWoot, you played basketball! Very impressed about this tidbit about your life. I was afraid of any kind of balls in any kind of sports when I was in grade school. hahaha Perhaps it will be different now when I tried. I did attempt tennis in college and was quiet good at it (I discovered as long as I don't have direct contact with the ball, and use a racquet, I'm good. XD lol).
You made me miss Batangas! But I'm grateful for the images because I can reminisce of past visits, and plan for future visits. :)
Wow! I never knew you play basketball until now. ^_^
ReplyDeleteWow! That place looks awesome

ReplyDeleteVery! :)
ReplyDeleteHehe.. I did, back in the day.. up until college. :) And I guess your feet's more used to running at your own pace, that's why you probably experienced cramps during your basketball games.
ReplyDeleteYes, it sure is. :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! Thanks for noticing that, Rojae. :)
ReplyDeleteWhere's the best bulalo place that you've been to so far? :)
ReplyDeleteYou're right about that! :)
ReplyDeleteWe sure had a lot of fun while in Club Malarayat, Ate Joanna! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I played ball back in the day.. I used to also be afraid of balls coming from nowhere. But I learned how to overcome it eventually, as I needed to play and not be afraid about what's yet to hit me.. lol! :P
